The first protective care that works like a high performance biological shield, developed from extreme biology, stem cell research and photo stable filter intelligence.
- Sun protection, regeneration, barrier care and epigenetic cell protection through state-of-the-art stem cell technology in a single product.
- Promotes natural resistance, reduces light stress and supports the skin’s own repair mode.
- Preserves cell energy and demonstrably reduces transepidermal water loss.
Provides targeted protection against UVB, UVA¹, IR-A and blue light – even for the most sensitive skin or skin undergoing therapy
- With particularly light-stable high-performance filters
- without hormonal risks
- Colipa-certified, highly compatible and ecologically safe.
State-of-the-art UV filter technology
- Active ingredients: Tinosorb S, Uvinul A Plus, Ethylhexyl Triazone
- Photostable up to 450 nm (UVA1)
- No hormonal effect (BASF 2020 study)
- Low risk of irritation according to the EU SCCS report
- Advantages: Broad-spectrum protection, no whitening effect, good tolerance
- After 10 hours in the tropical sun, the filters are still 85% active and effective
- Application is best at every 2 hours.
- Award-winning stem cell technology
- +186% cell vitality under UVA stress
- +80% DNA protection
- Inhibits MMP-1 activity (matrix degradation)
- Function: Preservation of epidermal stem cell function
- Made from plant stem cells of Arctic lingonberries
- This berry has learnt to withstand UV, cold and drought over millions of years – and passes on its strategies. The microorganisms in the post biotic Bacillus ferment originate from the Río Tinto – the most acidic and iron-rich river on earth.
- It is characterised by extreme UV radiation, high metal concentrations and a, extremely low pH value.
- Activates aquaporin-3 (AQP3)
- Reduces TEWL by up to -32% (Lipotrue data)
- Active principle: Cellular resilience through evolutionary intelligence
- Vegan
- Panthenol – anti-inflammatory
- Aloe vera – hydrating & soothing
- Squalane analogues & skin-like emulsifiers
- Tocopherol – antioxidant
- Perfume-free & non-comedogenic
- Non-greasyEffect: Immediate skin comfort, even with a sensitive skin barrier
-
- Also suitable for reactive or therapy-accompanied skin
- Ideal under make-up
- Application: daily, possible all year round
What Makes sunlight so dangerous?
UVA – Penetrates deep into the dermis, destroys collagen fibres – leads to photoaging, deep wrinkles and tissue breaks.
UVB – damages DNA directly – can lead to sunburn, pigmentation disorders and skin cancer (basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma).
Infrared rays (IR-A) – Heats deeper tissue, activates collagen-degrading enzymes – favours sagging, loss of elasticity and the formation of structural wrinkles.
Blue light (HEV) – Causes oxidative cell stress – promotes hyperpigmentation, tired radiance, premature skin ageing in the long term.
Free Radicals – Damage cell structures and the extracellular matrix scaffold – visible consequences: deep wrinkles, loss of elasticity, inflammatory skin conditions.
Fine dust – Particulate matter and pollutants cause oxidative stress – visible in a dull complexion, enlarged pores, inflammatory irritation and accelerated ageing.
Temperature-Stress – Heat accelerates enzyme degradation processes, cold weakens microcirculation – consequences are loss of barrier, redness, feeling of tension, chrono aging.
Chronic degenerative skin changes (dermatoheliosis) – Deep structural skin breaks, elastotic degeneration – the skin becomes thickened, coarse-pored, brittle and loses its mechanical resilience.
– Collagen and elastin fibres are broken down by MMPs (matrix metalloproteinases) – result: structural collapse of the dermis
Skin immunosuppression – UV radiation suppresses the immune system locally
Increased susceptibility to infections, poorer wound healing, reactivation of viruses (e.g. herpes simplex) and increased tumour formation (actinic keratosis, spinaliomas, melanomas).
Pigmentation disorders & post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH)
- UV can aggravate existing skin conditions: Acne, rosacea, melasma
- Scars heal worse and discolour
- Darker skin types are particularly prone to blotchy hyperpigmentation, which is difficult to treat.
Loss of the skin barrier
- Chronic UV exposure leads to increased TEWL (transepidermal water loss) and barrier disorders
- Visible consequences: dry, flaky skin, irritation, neurogenic inflammatory reactions, increased reactivity to cosmetics.
Photodermatoses and UV-induced diseases
- People with certain genetic or immunological predispositions develop light allergies or polymorphous light dermatoses.
- Medications (e.g. antibiotics, St John’s wort) can cause phototoxic reactions
Eye damage and periorbital skin ageing
- The thin skin around the eyes is particularly sensitive to light – the result: wrinkles, sagging, darkening.
- UV not only damages the skin, but also the eye lens and retina → Risk of cataracts and macular degeneration
